Aleksandr L. Blekh currently serves as Technical Analyst II with Institute for Materials (previously: Research Scientist II in the MINED research group) at Georgia Tech.
He holds Ph.D. in Information Systems from Nova Southeastern University (NSU) as well as M.S. in Computer Information Systems (also from NSU) and B.S. in Microelectronics and Semiconductor Devices from Technical University of Moldova. Aleksandr has more than 25 years of diverse experience across industry and academia. His research interests include complex socio-technical systems, knowledge management, cyberinfrastructure, cloud technologies, data science, machine learning, artificial intelligence, software engineering, innovation and entrepreneurship, just to name a few.
Combining roles of Computational Scientist, Solutions Architect and Product Owner (as well as Software Engineer, System Administrator, UX Researcher and Community Manager), Aleksandr leads GT's design, development and operations of MATerials Innovation Network (MATIN), an advanced cloud-based e-collaboration platform for accelerating materials innovation.
