Apaar Shanker

Apaar is currently a PhD student in the MINED Group at Georgia Institute of Technology. He received his undergraduate degree from the Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore where he developed a phasefiled code coupled with fluid flow solvers to simulate alloy solidification in presence of convection. He has also interned at GE India Technology Center where he worked on characterizing industrial gas turbine components after service exposure with the aim of developing more efficient repair protocols. Apaar is interested in harnessing materials informatics, statistics, and machine learning to the bridge the gaps in the overarching paradigm of multiscale modeling in computational materials science.
